Dr. Brent Boyett

Dr. Brent is dually trained and practices both Family Medicine and Family Dentistry.  He completed his undergraduate education at Birmingham-Southern College then graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1994 with a D.M.D. degree.

Working during the summers and on weekends in dentistry he went on to medical school at the University Of Health Sciences College Of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 1998. He then began a three year Family Medicine Residency with the University of Mississippi in Tupelo, which he completed in 2001. His emphasis during this training was internal medicine, anesthesia and oral surgery.

He was raised in Lamar County, Alabama and began his dental practice in Marion County in 1994. He established his medical practice in Hamilton, Alabama in 2001.  Since that time he has been dedicated to serving the residents of Marion County, as well as, all surrounding counties with medical and dental services.

Dr. Boyett is not an employee of any hospital system.  He manages his own clinics and has the liberty of adding new equipment and upgrades as needed to serve his patients.  He has the freedom to let his patients decide where they want to be referred for specialized treatment, surgery and long-term care.

He is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Family Practice and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, which allows him to offer sedation and general anesthesia to oral surgery patients and patients with anxiety associated with dental procedures.  His dual training is an enhancement to both his medical practice and dental practice.

He has added many new advances to his clinics in the last year to enhance your visit, which include medical and dental software that will lead to an electronic paperless office. The dental office has added cutting edge digital x-ray, Cerac one visit crown and veener machine which requires no impressions or temporaries. He does in house vascular studies, echocardiograms, abdominal ultrasound, x-rays and labs, which eliminates your need to travel to another facility.
